Czuel
A contemporary artistic identity exploring the relationship between human perception and heavily worked paint surfaces since 1984.
Czuel deliberately separates the private individual from the artistic entity. Incognito is not an absence but part of the work: attention is redirected from the artist’s face towards the canvas, its material presence and the movement of perception.
The project centres on radical visual statics, the transformation of photo-optical fragments of light, and the painting method developed from these investigations: the Eyeflow Technique.
Incognito as a statement
The works are intended to speak on their own terms. By removing biographical cues, Czuel asks the viewer to engage with layered optical transformations rather than the personality behind them.
